Realtime PCR Services
Real-time PCR technique, also called quantitative PCR, is a technique that is widely used in quantitative studies of gene expression. Furthermore, RT-PCR technique is an exceptionally sensitive and robust method employed to determine the quantity of viruses within a sample. This approach has gained significant popularity in recent years as it enables precise measurement of RNA levels. One of the key applications of this method is the assessment of gene expression levels by quantifying the amount of mRNA. This technique is particularly useful in studying genes that are activated in cancer cells. In this scenario, quantifying the amount of mRNA derived from cancer cells allows for monitoring the progression of cancer and assessing the efficacy of implemented treatments. Measuring mRNA levels provides valuable insights into the impact of therapies and aids in evaluating their effectiveness. One notable advantage of this technique is its ability to minimize contamination with the reaction product. Additionally, it offers exceptional sensitivity in measuring gene expression, capable of detecting even a single copy of the target transcript. A key feature of this method is its capacity to simultaneously monitor DNA fragment replication during the experiment using fluorescent reporters. The intensity of the resulting fluorescent signal directly corresponds to the quantity of amplified molecules.
Due to the capability of the method to start with minimum concentration of nucleic acid and accurately determine the final production, along with its flexibility in terms of time and resource storage, this technique is highly applicable and demonstrates higher accuracy and sensitivity compared to conventional PCR. Consequently, many professors and students involved in molecular studies and projects are eager to utilize it. Therefore, offering this service in the PCR laboratory would be beneficial.
Project managers, master’s and doctoral students conducting research in the molecular field, as well as other research centers and universities, often seek the consultation or technical services provided by the PCR laboratory.
